Cairo Crocodiles
Five thousand years of civilization and then ice. The Crocodiles play as if they have seen all of it. The Pyramid Basin holds a crowd that treats visiting teams as historical footnotes.

Arena modifier—Dangerous Waters
Section titled “Arena modifier—Dangerous Waters”Home players win all contested physical events at an elevated rate. The Crocodiles are patient, then explosive. Visitors near the boards do not have good outcomes. The Nile always wins.

The arena—lore
Section titled “The arena—lore”The Pyramid Basin sits low, as if pressed into the ground by something heavier than a building. The Almighty Ice appeared here last among the Season 2 cities and behaved as though it had always intended to. The Crocodiles are the most patient team in the league; they will trail for two periods and then end a game in ninety seconds, and the crowd will not have moved the entire time. Le Council requested the arena’s age and received the answer “yes.” Visiting goaltenders report a recurring sense that the water under The Almighty Ice is deeper than the floor allows. There is no water. There is no floor below the floor. The sense persists.
The arena—building
Section titled “The arena—building”A vast, low structure of sand-colored stone, broad and flat, with a single great basin sunk into its center where The Almighty Ice lies. The exterior carries no signage—the league gave up commissioning some. Inside, the architecture is monumental and unhurried: wide stone tiers, deep shadows along the upper rows, and lighting that never quite reaches the corners. Sound travels strangely; a whistle at one end arrives at the other a half-beat late. The boards are dark, near-black, and warm to the touch despite the surface. The crowd is enormous and almost silent until it is not. When the Crocodiles strike, the Basin makes a noise that registers as old.
